I mean, it's not hard to see when someone is limping and can't move, and she clearly couldn't move on the sideline before she came in or when she came in. It's also not the medical team's decision to pull someone from the game, that's on the coach.

She was limping when she reentered the game, don't need to be a trainer to see that

Part of coaching is making hard calls and protecting players from themselves

If you're still actively limping when re-entering the game, you shouldn't be re-entering the game

Pretty major distinction is Bowser publicly endorsing what Trump has done in DC. There was space for her to pick her battles without buying into the false premise of crime reduction

They passed an identical resolution in 2023 and it didn't matter. Just unnecessary intercoalition sniping by the dems voting yes, just vote present and blame the republicans for wasting everyone's time

It's crazy that Trump's first term was packed with Bush-era neocons and they got nowhere, but this time Rubio is the last foothold the neocons have and they may actually get a land war in Latin America out of it.

There will never be an incentive for the GOP to change as long as every presidential election is a coin flip, but using the welcome PAC playbook, which basically assumes every election will always hinge on the current collection of swing states, is a recipe to keep elections a coin flip

Keeping tabs on USAJobs in DC makes clear just how dire state capacity is going to be in the coming years. There's some accounts on here that like to mock Vought not getting everything he wants all at once, but the reality on the ground is there's still effectively no hiring happening outside of ICE

FEMA continues to gut their capacity and there was no wake up call this year to change course. There's not going to be much left at FEMA by next year's hurricane season.

Pretty funny they're doing "rapid response" to a Ken Burns documentary premiere with that post

The play is to curry favor with the admin by subjecting WaPo to a series of humiliations, then to kill it when Trump is out of office
November 17, 2025 at 5:30 PM
To the original point of whether the Dems should be hammering Trump on this, you can't sit around and wait for something to maybe show up in approval rating tracking before going on offense. Go on offense first and see if voters are buying what you're selling later

Especially considering that the norm in politics is to change out leadership after humiliating defeats. The fact that the democratic party stayed on autopilot following 2024 is the aberration, not the people calling for a change
November 14, 2025 at 2:37 AM
If the democrats took official action, the NYT political coverage would just be Peter Baker lamenting that they're not focused on the real pocketbook issues confronting the white working class. It's just systematic bias

The next generation of right wing nutjobs may well be worse, but I have to imagine the generation of guys who write emails like this have to be falling by the wayside.
