ohhhh i literally just now realized why cymk is used in subtractive printing and its relationship to rgb (each of c y m absorbs a single color in the rgb additive palette [i.e. cyan absorbs red but allows green and blue to pass])

Sometimes we’re unsatisfied with a thing we made because when it only existed in our head, we saw all the things it could have been and when it’s done we know all the things that it isn’t, but we can’t see the way it expands into a million new things when someone else unpacks it in their head. 🖊️🦑

“endocept”: the vague, pre-articulate sense of vision that guides creation

The size of a book—its heft, the space it takes in your world, the amount of intimidation/motivation it incites at the prospect of attempting to read it—are all part of your experience and your memory of it. All this is as enmeshed in your mind as anything you gleaned from reading it.
