Last night Pam and I went out to look at the sunset and take some pics. To our surprise there was an owl, perched in the tree across the street, also enjoying the beautiful sunset. There was also a smaller bird who was extremely upset about the owl camping out in HIS (or her) tree.

This is from Saturday. Waymo got sideways in the driveway at the Fairmount and just sat there blocking all incoming traffic. The guy standing there is from the hotel. He was trying to talk to a customer service rep from Waymo, but it was an Uber, and we know how that works out. #uber #waymo

New conspiracy theory: The last 3 older shows I've attempted to watch have all disappeared off the platform I'm binging them on right as i start the final season. They then reappear on a new platform i don't currently subscribe to that i suspect is owned by the first platform. Anyone else?

Prediction: The Clippers are going to go on a hot streak and win 14 or 15 of their next 18 games and roll into the NBA All-Star Weekend in 3rd or 4th place in the Western Conference. They'll rest players in March and fall back to 6th and then a first round exit as injuries mount. #nostradamus

People should stop taking about Ivey like he's making some kind of leap this year. His points are up a tick, 44% from the field, 72% from the line. 4.3 apg, but 3 tovs per game as well. His 3p % is respectable, but low volume means he contributes 1.6 of them per game. He's meh. #nba

Thank God it didn't give me a high score under "Thought Leader". That would be a truly sad reflection on society as a whole. The confusing one is under the My Space part of the Time Machine version. Hemmingway and Vonnegut are obscure?

Apparently @amctheatres.bsky.social has warned folks not to sing at "Wicked" stressing that "silence is golden" at AMC. Are we to assume this goes for laughing at funny parts, screaming at scary parts, applause and all other acts of spontaneous joy as well? #movies

Why I'm loving this site: It feels like starting over. The other place has taught me it's important to be selective on who I follow. People who are friendly and collaborative on topics I like. I followed too many who were vitriolic and was fed almost pure vitriol. No more of that. #choosekindness

It occurs to me that the one thing none of these platforms ever think to include is a method for removing followers you don't want. Seems that would be a handy tool for some. Just put it there next to the "Follow Back" button: #Remove

I live in Austin, TX. I'm constantly amazed at how often people move here because the city they were living in became unbearable. And then they set themselves to trying to change Austin into being more like the place they left. Let's not make that mistake here. #keepblueskyweird
