It's rare we're in agreement with the Fraser Institute on urban policy however they absolutely nail the reasons why this move to repeal blanket rezoning is a bad idea & goes against the free-market conservative values many pushing it on #yyccc claim to hold.

Once again, Alberta’s UCP Government plans to suspend Charter Rights of Albertans.

First to attack teachers’ rights, now trans youth.

The Justice Minister proudly said his voice is the final voice on this matter.

It is not. The voice of the people is the final voice.

🙏A moment of silence for the "Progressive Conservative" wing of the UCP. They died as they lived: silently and without a trace. 🙏

If anyone inside the UCP calls themselves socially liberal after todays attack on vulnerable Albertans, they're either lying or spineless. #abpoli

Let’s be clear on this: Danielle Smith is ripping up the Charter of Rights & Freedoms to take away rights from the most vulnerable people in Alberta. And she’s doing it to protect herself from the militant wing of her own party, nothing more. Hope it’s all she’s ever remembered for in the long run

One of the oddest set of stats (to me) that gets tracked in sports is historical successes/failures against other franchises. Teams are never the same year to year, and in some cases, could turn over completely in a ~5 year span. Is there a point to these comparisons other than general interest?

The @edmontonoilers.bsky.social need to make a goaltending change now. Not in a week, not in 2 games. Now. What we have clearly isn't working and management needs to fix it before we dig a hole too deep to get out of.

Some stations experienced longer wait times this morning.

Voting stations tend to be busiest when they first open and in the late afternoon and evening hours. If you are in line by 8 p.m., you will get to cast your vote.

Get your civic duty done today and let's hope the results are favourable and the Jays are victorious.

Oh and also that we have Nate in Ward 8.

This municipal election is important - the next four years will shape issues like housing, affordability, transit, public safety, and even our local democracy.

That's why I'm running as an independent candidate with a vision to move us forwards, not backwards, and it's why you must vote 1/ #yyc

Finding common ground in politics is hard.

That's why I'm grateful for Dave Cree's Ward 8 endorsement.

We want to move Calgary forward by lifting people up - regardless of identity, income, or background.

Now is our chance to tell the province we value independent municipal leaders.

Public spaces are essential to a thriving city.

Rec centres, parks, or even just places to gather with your friends and family for free.

They make us healthier and create stronger neighbourhoods.

With about 100,000 people, Ward 8 doesn't have nearly enough 1/
