Cruelty is on the rise because victims of cruelty, who haven’t resolved that trauma, seem prone to pass it on. If you look at the personalities dominating cruelty, you’ll see a clear pattern from their upbringing. Most have a thread of cruel and/or unloving parents. Not justifying, just observing.

As someone who’s worked in the startup ecosystem for years and built models for innovation in the enterprise using startup / venture approaches, what we’re witnessing is the arrogant belief that startup culture translates to large and complex systems. It doesn’t, as they will very soon find out.

The problem with implementing the Twitter/X purge business strategy on the U.S. government is that the collateral damage isn’t “Oops, X is down” website 404 errors… its plane crashes, no health coverage, and an impending civic chaos.

It would be interesting to see a study of swapping your Meta/Tiktok/YouTube account with someone who has the opposite political affiliation. I think people would be floored if they experienced the other sides algorithm.

One simple way to make an impact in today’s climate is the technology we choose to use and support. Having conversations with my family around which platforms are operating in benefit of humanity and which are destroying humanity. Users have a lot of power here, vote with your feet.

It’s money. It’s always been about money. And money is the root to all evil. That means those of us who value humanity, community, fellowship, health, the environment, art, culture, family, joy, equality, morality, freedom, and liberty… above money… need to create stronger bonds with each other.
