I think Desmond's forgiven me after the unpleasantness of him having to have his worming medicine...

Now to properly relax...

Weirdly I actually felt really confident today. Liverpool had, what, 1 shot on target, when we were 3 up? First time I've been that confident all season!

Also, enjoyed Michael Cox's point post match, having seen your reply to a post of his about how dull *most* teams in the league are this year!

Now to relax after a frantic first half. Can't remember the last time I've seen us play Liverpool and they've not even had a shot on target.

This is not my cat.

Ha! Funnily enough, in my football WhatsApp chat was talking about how German fans seem different to English fans, in not actually *watching* the game, it's just a big communal sing song. Which, fair enough, who doesn't love a bit of a drink and a sing. But... Could they not also watch the game?

Accidentally sent a reply in my football group chat to our vets as well (no idea how), which is quite embarrassing. Still, the vets can probably now guess who our cat Vinny was named after...

Yep, seems accurate

That's one relaxed looking cat

Our Desmond did both - an unknown amount of time as a stray eating out of bins somewhere in Oldham, then taken in by a local cat shelter, and now with us! (Alongside his best mate Vinny, who by being born in the shelter went straight into the "being treated like a little baby" category)

Fair play, they were better than back in 2007 at Leeds festival (I don't think the wide open spaces of a festival worked for them back then). And I was wearing (some) purple and everything!

Now to see a band I Iast saw in 2007...

There is potential for it to get even better... Mancini, a famously argumentative and highly strung manager, working under Marinakis - what could *possibly* go wrong?!

Mancini being in line for the Forest job is absolutely hilarious. A famously argumentative and emotional manager, working under Marinakis - what could possibly go wrong?!

Unexpected item in the bagging area.

There's a pub in Central London which was still advertising the Duke of York, at least they were a two years back...

(Which given this was post the Newsnight interview when I took this photo was quite the choice)

Have to say, my WFH co-worker is a bit of a slacker...

RTJ4, with lyrics which are still so goddam relevant...

(Don't know if I've ever seen a better encapsulation of the gulf between what Christ said vs. modern RW political US Christianity, than in these verses here)

I feel the place loses its charm when you end up spending time waiting for a delayed train on Platform 13.

A short way across town however is this fine proof of civilisation at Manchester Victoria... Now this is something for humankind to aspire to!

Desmond seems very interesting in the goat gravy in particular, in our takeaway from The Drop Inn...

(If you're in South Manchester, it's the place to go for Carribbean food in our humble opinion)

It's fine, I've still got all my hair, it's still good, I'm still young...

A fact that floors me completely is that next year I (and presumably you as well) will become as old as Homer Simpson is in the classic series of the Simpsons... (I have a feeling they may have made him older in the newer ones)

Final night in Lagos, and the scores all went my way in the football, so picked up some prosecco at the shop round the corner (lost of booze available at low low prices) to celebrate it all...

Been enjoying some excellent fish whilst we've been in Lagos (Portugal), thanks to a recommendation from a friend of Morwenna's who visits here a lot. The Adega da Marina is the place to be. Fantastic fish, and the table wine was a very reasonable €5 per litre...
