All cleaned up and attached the new mods. A successful test today for sure. I only ran a small amount of charcoal and it held at 220-250F for about 1 hour undisturbed which was outstanding.

I’ve given the movie Vertigo (1958) a few attempts but I just can’t get into it. The plot is too bizzare for my tastes. I will say the music is great (title sequence and first act mostly) and the cinematography is top notch. I mean these visuals are just 🤌

Roddy Piper’s acting isnt bad and superior to Chase’s if we’re comparing them. As far as wrestler-to-movie actors ago, I’d put Piper near the top (it’s a short list). They Live is a good one to watch if you haven’t watched it in a while. Even if it’s just for this all-time banger of a movie quote:

The overal feel is good at times (left) and bad at times (right). The film could’ve used more inner monologue / noir vibes IMO which provided a sense of weight to the character and got lost in the 3rd act. I’d give it 4/10.

Starting up the John Carpenter double feature for tonight. Both of these clock in at about 1.5 hrs. I kind of wish that runtime was still more common.

Making some progress. New paint job. Will prob need some new nuts and bolts to replace the rusted out pieces. I also have to decide whether or not to spend $15 on a small, single piece of hardware since Amazon looks to be the only option for it 🫠

If the Mets call pull out a W and the Reds can get an L today, it’s still been a brutal couple of months (even in Metsian terms). We’ll see how it transpires. Two straight seasons of their fate being decided on the final day of the season. Could be a rough day.
