I would say, if you want to try the magic eraser method, trim it into strips. You can be more “precise” with where you need to remove a mark, and go lightly at first and you’ll be able to see if it is removing colour you don’t want removed.

Warm water, dishsoap, soft toothbrush, patience and then a Mr.Clean magic eraser for some marks. (Magic eraser doesn’t work on all plastics/paints, so be careful!) That’s about it!
