Just looking over some of the pictures I snapped on my walk home tonight and this one looks like a movie set. Cue the Ninja Turtles leaping from the roof of the building, spring-boarding off of the UPS truck, to a fighting stance on the ground.

There’s a Japanese Maple on a side street in the neighbourhood that is so incredible. Its leaves go from green to yellow, to orange to red -- a ”gradient” tree. It’s so gorgeous. This is one tree, hanging over the sidewalk!

Before and After. Sometimes I will get boxes of vintage toys that have been sitting in literal barns for decades and are super grubby. These GIANT TMNT have been well-looked-after and only needed a light cleaning. (This is the Mikey)

Popped into Niagara-on-the-Lake to check out the “Poppy Project” this afternoon. 10,000+ knitted poppies made and placed by volunteers throughout the town. This was the museum location. I wish I’d seen them during one of the fiery sunsets last week.

Late bloomer? Don’t think I’ve ever seen a katydid this late in the year.

I hear these are a pain in the butt to clean up after. (I didn’t grow up with sweetgum trees, so these are a “new to me” tree, and I think they’re beautiful!)
Bright red leaves of a sweetgum tree. Interspersed throughout are lime-green spiky seed pods. A branch of bright yellow-to burnt orange leaves against a blue sky. There are lime-green spiky seed pods and some that have dried and turned brown, hanging from the branches Green to purple leaves and yellow with a blush at the tips. The leaves of a sweet gum look similar to a maple leaf, with five “points”. They are very colourful and glow in the afternoon sunlight.
