There's something pleasant about the time of year when it's finally cold enough to make use of the stack of religious / political propaganda that piles up over time from depolarizing the little community library in our neighborhood.

Abbot: Did you draw in the margins of this bible?
Me: Yeah, it's called illumination. Very fancy.
Abbot: *opens book* Is this a tree growing dicks instead of fruit?
Me: lol yeah

ACA: brought US uninsured rate down to ~7%, made HC affordable, insurers benefit from more signatories & govt subsidies.
Pre-ACA: insurers reject preexisting conditions, annual/lifetime payout caps, higher premiums, milk US consumers for profit, insurers benefit massively.
Which is worse again?

It's never too late to grasp that if someone works full-time and receives SNAP, it means YOUR taxpayer dollars are subsidizing the COMPANY because it refuses to pay them a livable wage.

Is it really too much to ask for people to do 5 minutes if reading a day to actually research the things they don't understand instead of believing everything they're told?
I understand the uneducated prole suffering a lack of academic motivation, but some "educated" individuals are know-nothings.

I would happily give up my daily driving commute, sell my commuter vehicle, and take public transit to work every day if it was a viable option, but man this state has horrible people-centric infrastructure.
I'd feel a lot better about having motorist hobbies if I didnt have to commute as well.

love qt6ct breaking xdg-desktop-portal-kde startup (for no discernable reason) in 0.11-2 but not in 0.11-1, and there being few good options outside of the kde portal for a xdg-portal file picker :)

If I was paid every time I met someone who could have been an impactful scientist, philosopher, engineer, or humanitarian instead of struggling to get by or being brainwashed into playing the game, I'd be a slightly richer poor ass mfr.
