Man translating that made me so self conscious about modern vocab I don’t know and turns of phrases to be succinct and casual. Thankfully my boyfriend is coincidentally studying French and bought us a subscription for Antidote which is a magnificent app.

Peut qqn recommander des podcasts, audiolivres etc en français? Tant mieux, québécois? Je suis au chômage et canadienne donc j’essaie à reprendre les études de français. Mon niveau est environ B2/C1 et ça fait 20 ans depuis que j’ai passé une année en France, donc ma langue est rouillée.

Nothing you’d change into to be comfortable when you got home. Ironed as appropriate, no torn edges or worn. No athleisure. Basically an outfit that wouldn’t draw attention at work but might be incongruous at the pub or a sporting match on the weekend.

I’m applying for a job at my old work and if I get it I’m planning on starting a Roundtable thing like this. So valuable and good for faculty, staff and ultimately students! But don’t tell them until they give me the job.

Surprisingly not quite. Like I noticed the shake because there was silence but it wasn’t as weird as I might’ve thought. Like noticed enough to search “Vancouver earthquake” but not enough to be concerned.

Yeah. Coincidentally the podcast I was listening to stopped as my phone battery had gone dead and in that silence there was the shake. I only noticed the one though.

I mean c'mon. Having a student who hates writing enjoy a writing class? That's a win!
