"Mondrianing", I'm thinking.

This looks so familiar! Turns out, I was there exactly a month ago. I decided to bring the bull home.

I'm probably just as happy that *you* weren't "Ardell Jr"--but I still like the name "Ardell". (Maybe because I have a friend who's given name is "Verdell".)

Magnets can be profoundly mystifying at time--and career-wise I avoided magnetic fields in the lab--but we have understood magnetism for over a hundred years, so maybe it's time for the public to catch up?(Ridiculous rhetorical question--I know.)

The lines and proportions are beautiful, the opening broad and breathable. The light brick has a lovely texture.

From our recent remodel I feel I have some understanding of the chaos/non-chaos, out-of-equilibrium sensation--but it progresses as it should, & every new detail will bring new joy.

I love the name "Ardell".

Same with my husband and his cough. (Which, fortunately for my nerves, doesn't sound at all like a COVID cough.)

I thought so, but I have a bad habit of trying to answer rhetorical questions.
I read a lot of mysteries and thrillers. For decades there was a vile habit among writers of one-sentence "paragraphs", usually used as a sort of punchline for the previous paragraph. May be out of style now.

I think you got it exactly right! I was looking at nearby photos for street signs, and there is one facing about 90-degrees counterclockwise from this view that includes a large "Union Station" sign, AND, I can read the street signs: Front & Bay.

You get the prize!

A solution that has worked for me for nearly the last decade has been to listen to the now-widely-available streaming programs of classical music from Europe. I've met composers (Bottisini, where were you?) and music that has really expanded my listening pleasure.

Try it! Here are my 3 favorite...

We're no longer the key Netflix demographic, I expect--not that we ever were; we probably were accidentally offered a few things to our tastes. Their enshitification seems to be proceeding apace.

I feel that a few years ago, when Netflix found the means to start producing much more of their content, they geared it towards the crap that their market research said people would watch relentlessly.

I'm happy to hear that 1) you ARE relaxing, more or less; and 2) that I get to share a special moment vicariously through one of my stories. Also, I'm glad the story is having the intended result.

You have the cutest tongue!

It has been a long, long week. Relax and think of nice things--or nothing, if that's nicer.
