I assume with Buendia stepping up Unai has decided we no longer need Elliott and perhaps those funds can be spent elsewhere instead.

Felt we lost control after the subs and change of shape.

I thought we looked much better doing it, hope it continues. Forwards can’t out run Pau if they’re offside.

I thought we used the offside trap more last night. I wondered if it was an adjustment to help Torres who was much more comfortable in defence a couple of seasons ago with the high line and offside trap.

Think it’s likely having so many players available to leave through the summer had left one or two unhappy about how it played out.

Yeah I agree there is a lack of application from some. I think the fact it seems to be from the attacking players that points to a tactical issue that’s causing them to let their frustrations turn into bad performances.
