It’s the first day of fall! That means it’s a great day to mix your own pumpkin spice and check your voter registration status too! #Fall #Autumn #VoterRegistration

A free and democratic society cannot silence comedians because the President doesn’t like what they say.

This is an attack on free speech and cannot be allowed to stand.

All elected officials need to speak up and push back on this undemocratic act.

Just saw Lilo & Stitch. My spoiler-free opinion is that you’re better off skipping it and watching the original 2002 masterpiece instead.

I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world.

Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO

This turns out to have not been a particularly tricky prediction.
I for one am excited for TikTok to show me a splashy "The US GOVERNMENT HAS DESTROYED EVERYTHING YOU LOVE" screen when I open the app next week followed by Donald Trump crawling through glass to get it back because it helped get him elected thus solidifying him as a HERO OF THE EVERYDAY AMERICAN.

On #MLKDay, we're inspired by Martin Luther King Jr.'s words. We will continue to do the work – investing in and championing women and gender-expansive people nationwide. We won't stop until our vision of a true democracy is realized: one where the worth and dignity of every person is valued.

The TikTok ban is definitely not driving people back to Meta apps. Xiaohongshu, literally “Little Red Book” or RedNote is becoming a popular alternative. Is there anywhere else people are going? I’m half-expecting Tumblr and/or Pinterest to take off again.

Obligatory first post of 2025, except with the twist that the only resolutions I’m sharing are to read more books and build the legos I received as holiday gifts.
