After living through decades of GOP messaging in the 90s and 00s suggesting that Democrats couldn’t be trusted to handle big boy issues of national security, it’s pretty galling to see them nominate a Secretary of Defense who’d struggle to be hired as a 3rd grade flag football coach.

The thing about Trump vowing to pardon the Jan 6 rioters is that many of them implicated themselves. They took selfies doing crimes; posted real-time updates; carried phones onto Capitol grounds. I read the court files; the volume of evidence was insane
