Musk claimed this 82 year old was dead, and clawed back $5,200 from his bank account 😡

I found a ‘dead’ person on Social Security in Seattle
“Dead” Ned Johnson turns out to be very much alive. It took him weeks to convince the system he was breathing and to start clawing his benefits back.

Whether you like or dislike what’s said at universities, free speech is at the core of our democracy, and protecting it should be one of the core missions of universities.

Which is why America needs a new Free Speech Movement, similar to the one that broke out on college campuses 61 years ago.
Why we need a new free speech movement
And why universities should sue the Trump regime for abridging the First Amendment rights of their institutions and their students

I am by no means the "left wing" of the Democratic Party and I'm livid about what Schumer and others are poised to do! Vote NO! #noCR #demsvoteno #stopschumer #stopCR

For almost two hours last night, Trump gaslight the nation.

It was an avalanche of falsehoods, petty insults and performative acts intended to make you accept his alternative reality.

That tariffs aren't somehow a crushing tax on Americans.

That alienating our allies will make us stronger.

Our farmers will lose billions in USAID cuts.

His tariffs will not make up the shortfall, because most of the produce coming in does not compete with local produce.

People aren't going to buy more Idaho potatoes because Mexican bananas cost more.

+ labor shortages.

The fuckening continues.

Medicaid covers...

-40% of births nationwide
-50% of kids with special needs
-72 million people in total

Remember this as Republicans move to gut the program to finance tax cuts that will overwhelmingly go to the richest 1% of Americans.

So increasing the minimum wage to a livable wage is “socialism”?

But Amazon union busting, keeping wages low, and forcing workers onto public assistance while its founder increases his net worth by $7.9M an hour is the "free market"?

Perhaps this could be a WaPo opinion piece.

Thought we were attempting to reduce the federal deficit? Instead, Trump’s proposed budget plan is projected to significantly increase it.

The GOP passed a budget resolution last night that will gut Medicaid, SNAP, and other vital programs — as 60% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck.

Why? To finance tax cuts for the top 1%.

We have socialism in this country for the rich, harsh capitalism for everyone else.
