And this is progressive taxation how?
December 12, 2025 at 12:05 AM
Fun with numbers - at 7%
The $1k could grow to around $3,570 over 18 years, $87k at age 65. But if parents etc add $5k a year, $90k of that age 18 figure is from that. $5k year is $417 per month.

We can see who benefits from this and it's not the bottom 50%. Unless free, also fees to be paid

He's so much not his usual orange I thought the colors on my TV set were broken. He was going for the George Hamilton hue, it seems.

I'm literally out of the country right now and just checking in and this sums it up.

Unthinkable, just a few years ago. This is how far standards in the federal government have fallen. This is from hud.gov

Which way this time? Dec 2018, Trump said he would be "proud" to shut down the government over border security funding. "I'll take the mantle. I will be the one to shut it down. I'm not going to blame you for it." By January 2019 Kellyanne Conway said, "He doesn't own the shutdown any longer,"

This is what is going out gaslighting the 1st amendment and further painting people as immoral and vile. Doing to individuals as they are doing to organizations. "Celebrating his murder" is anything not indicating support for Charlie? Seriously?

So many things we take for granted are only due to unions, not employer decency.

My opinion today

So what are we going to do about this?
August 26, 2025 at 11:58 AM
You know, when people act like deep dish is the only kind of Chicago style pizza, I never found a way to push back on that until now. This graphic demonstrates that there are a lot of styles and kinds of pizza in Chicago and we love most of them.

Seems some newspapers have the balls pr backbone to call a spade a spade, or in this case, a felon a felon.

So the bill was signed and it's more than the next day, where is this America Party? Or is it more Musk BS and PR?

I am not a fan of libertarianism for a lot of reasons, and in most of it organized guises. So seeing R. Crumb taking a whack at Ayn Rand just makes a crappy day a little bit brighter. YMMV

How disconnected from reality must you be to come out and say that most workers don't like having a day off and we need to do something about them. Seriously, Mr. Man who has never worked an honest job for a day in his life? Who is off work more than he's on even as president?

What world are they in?

Esp with this administration, you cannot say this too often.

The history of a federal agency may seem kinda trivial but it's not. It may be dry and academic but so what? History is how we know where we came from and how we got here and how we think about the future. Eliminating the agency custodian hurts us today and down the road.
