Starting out on an early - if late - journey in writing.

I tweet stories, compliments and sometimes hiking photos.

Living in Didcot, Oxfordshire, England, UK, Europe, Earth. Not necessarily in that order.

One of the things that has surprised me as I've grown older:

It is constantly shocking how moments in my own life seem so long ago.

And still, these things move ever further into my past.

AI has no place in writing.

Literally soulless.

Spare 15 minutes to listen to this heartwarming story of POWs in Britain at the end of the WWII.

Photos of the time are used to enhance the experience - but definitely take nothing away from the writing.

"Early to bed..."
- 10pm is early, right?

"Early to rise..."
- 7am feels pretty early

"Makes a man..."
- Just waiting for these to kick in now:

"Healthy, wealthy and wise."

- Nothing, yet...

We should all have a cosy spot like this to read.
Also, good morning everyone!

It's a wet and wild one, but the bookshop is warm, dry, and full of exciting new books this morning if you happen to have ventured into town (but otherwise stay cozy wherever you are, ideally with a good book to read)

A random sentence on Wikipedia today reads:

A sheet of A4 copy paper would require 42 half folds in order to reach the Moon.

Discuss.

If I'm not mistaken, this is one of many jewel thefts, which, when put together, form a world destroying mega weapon.

Each diamond more perfect than the other.

Each theft more daring than the last.

Spoiler. World survives (plucky, misunderstood, son of renowned (but dead) gemologist saves day)

Does anyone else like to write with soundscapes?

Either put yourself in the rainy scene your writing, or far from it in a monastery on the Himalayas, or even pretending to be writing in the local coffee shop.

mynoise is a fantastic collection of sounds.
