It seems the CofE is now doing an exercise to look at whether action should be taken with over 30 priests and officials named in the Makin report. Perhaps some would do the right thing before it comes to that. www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home...

The Makin report reminds us that a theology focused on sin and shame contributes to abuse within church communities. So, along with clearing leaders in the CofE, it’s perhaps time to clean our theology so that it emphasizes our essential goodness — the essence of the God in whose image we are made.
