This is worthy of note from @drpanmd.bsky.social.
That RFK Jr would lie to Congress is not surprising. What is outrageous is that Congress is not holding RFK Jr accountable for lying to them. The U.S. Constitution depends on each branch of government holding the others accountable to protect our rights & freedoms. #DrPanForCongress #AmericanValues
RFK Jr. broke almost every promise he made to senators to get appointed, turned #ACIP into a subservient mouthpiece rather than an expert committee, and put views over science at every turn. wapo.st/48YSPC1 via @rachelroubein.bsky.social @lenasun.bsky.social @laurenweberhp.bsky.social

This is well worth reading even if it's "through the lens of a classic science fiction film". Donald Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. have caused much damage to federal science and medicine.

@michaelemann.bsky.social & @peterhotezmdphd.bsky.social's "Science Under Siege" is one of the most important books published in recent memory, especially this year It is a timely look at what happens when science is attacked, ignored & discredited. It should be required reading for most Americans.

You know what, shitbird? I have an idea. What about a VACCINE?

There are several in late stages of development.

Will you promote them so we can get “children back into the woods” as you say?

So @jeneeninterlandi.bsky.social is on the @nytimes.com editorial board. She has been a voice of reason for many years at the paper (as have many of their health/science reporters) on infectious diseases. This is a great piece from her to close out 2025. www.nytimes.com/2025/12/30/o...

The health of Americans is at risk as those in power abandon evidence and process, and elevate anecdote and rhetoric in their place. Excellent article (if sad to read) www.statnews.com/2025/12/03/a...
CDC’s vaccine advisory panel faces a crisis of its own making
“ACIP has drifted toward inflating speculative risks while downplaying well-established vaccine benefits,” write former CDC officials Demetre Daskalakis, Daniel Jernigan, and Debra Houry.

In which I describe the links between Trump, creationism, ID, Christian Nationalism, and the book at the centre of the case; fear that the judgement will be undermined or, worse, bypassed; and show that this book contains errors of scientific reasoning that would disgrace an undergraduate.

Sadly this is worthy of note.
