I'm a freelance photographer and writer. I'm a former evolutionary biologist trained in invertebrate paleobiology and ecology who has worked in healthcare and epidemiological research.
Exactly, well said. How pathetic. Neither RFK Jr. nor Dr. Oz should be seen as trustworthy stewards of our nation's public health.

@nilese.bsky.social I see that Don was able to persuade Cambridge University Press and @paleosoc.bsky.social to ensure that this issue is open access. I quickly glanced at Steven Stanley's paper just now and it looks rather intriguing. I will make time to read it carefully as well as yours, etc.

You're most welcome, Niles (@nilese.bsky.social)! That symposium which Don had organized for GSA was an important commemoration and examination as to why Punctuated Equilibria remains an important theory in evolutionary biology. I am glad that the publication of it will remind many of this.

He shows that he's as much as Marxist-Leninist as Vladimir Lenin was over a century ago. I'm a Darwinian Conservative Republican who graduated from his arch rival high school, Stuyvesant. I also studied history, which he never has. If he proceeds, then he will fail spectacularly.

I'm a native New Yorker and he's not my mayor. I didn't vote for him. I graduated from Stuyvesant High School, the arch rival to his alma mater, Bronx Science. He's likely to be our worst NYC mayor based on his rhetoric. I look forward to his failure.

There's no difference between what he said now and what Vladimir Lenin said a century ago. He is destined to be New York City's worst mayor if he follows through with his vision.

She sounds like she's an older version of Dr. Casey Means. How pathetic, but not surprising, given the nature of key appointments at HHS courtesy of Trump and RFK Jr.
