Very proud that Ann Arbor Pioneer Science Olympiad finished second in Michigan state tournament, qualifying for the National Tournament on May 24. #SONT2025.

I've coached many of these students since they were in 6th grade. They are great.

That is a lot of style power. And they say Bama was even better? Dang. I wonder if anybody could beat those guys as juniors and seniors.
The 2021 Ohio State signing class: Jack Sawyer, Quinn Ewers. JTT; Donovan Jackson, Emeka Egbuka; TreVeyon Henderson; Kyle McCord, Marvin Harrison Jr., Tyleik Williams; Jordan Hancock. Denzel Burke... That's a lot of star power. And, it was ranked No. 2 behind Alabama that year.

Amazing! What a victory for Michigan.

The collective meltdown in Ohio will be something to behold.

I'll provide reports from key counties in Michigan as the votes come in.

With 477,000 votes counted in Oakland County, which is about 62% of votes cast in 2020, Harris has 54.25%. Her margin over Trump is 10.58%, compared to 14% for Biden and 8% for Clinton.

Also, for those of us old enough, 1994.
👇🎯 The first rule of election parties, as everyone old enough to have lived through 2000, 2004, & 2016 knows, is that we do not talk about - let alone ever, ever, ever, ever think about hosting or attending ever again - election parties. You are home, on your sofa, with 🥃. This is the way.
listen I know nothing about basically anything, but one of the few pieces of categorically iron-clad advice I can offer from my own terrible past choices is: do not do this, do not under any circumstances do this, do not throw an election night party, please just trust me

As a former staffer, I think it’s also worth nothing that it’s highly unlikely either of these two prepared their own remarks.

In both cases, some staffer drafted up remarks based on whatever information they had in front of them, which is the NDAA info on this case.

Every national media outlet should be prepared for handling this. And we know, with 100% certainty, that every national media outlet is going to utterly fail at handling this, playing directly into the GOP's telegraphed strategy of sowing doubts about nonexistent voter fraud & stealing the election.
One out of every six votes may be a mail ballot for Harris. So don’t expect a quick call on election night.

I've been thinking a lot this week about my former boss, Senator Tim Johnson, who died this past week. He was a true public servant who ran for office for all the right reasons and never forgot who he was working for.

I agree that the media are completely failing to meet the moment.

But I think one difference is that the GOP has a finely tuned outrage machine that gives marching orders to surrogates who repeat the message.

If Dems want to make it a central issue, candidates should make it one.
Once again, I invite you to consider the NYT/WaPo front pages & the never-ending National Conversation™️ we'd have if a single national- or state-level Democrat ever said things like this. Trump & the GOP? 🦗🦗🦗
