I don't want to get all eschatological (and I dislike people who do) but...

White horse = Annexing Canada, Greenland, Etc.
Red horse = Giving Russia the Greenlight in Ukraine
Black horse = Gut USAID, Gut USDA food programs
Pale horse = Measles

"AM I BEING DETAINED? ON WHAT GROUNDS? AM I FREE TO GO?"

Seriously, I did not have "libertarian traffic stop videos become super useful" on my bingo card for this year.

A picture of my son, emerging from the children's barracks at Auschwitz on this date in 1945

This isn't actually my son, just his absolute doppelganger. But that this could be his twin hit me like a ton of bricks

Everyone is someone's son, daughter, or parent. Treat them as you would your own

I am a dumb. After I bought my house back in the 90s, I would get a trickle of mail addressed to the old occupants.

People have the gall to call SF a hellhole when this is a regular occurrence where they live.

I love that when I watch an extra-old movie on one of the streaming platforms it spends around a minute buffering.

I imagine an army of gnomes in the server farm saying "Oh crap Louise! Someone's watching 'The Maltese Falcon!' Quick, dust it off and get those reels down to Stream Central!"

As a kid I didn't like Reagan because I was a knee-jerk liberal.

As an adult I've come to realize so many bad turns in American policies (For profit health insurance, not enforcing the Robinson-Patman Act, end of the Fairness Doctrine) stemmed from that rat bastard.

Congrats 16 year old me.

I always try to muster empathy for people.

The best I can can up with is "it's got to be really difficult to be spineless and power-hungry while also having some awareness of others based only on your own experiences"

I've been making my dog's food for a few months now:

Costco proteins and veg are the cheapest. Bulk is good when you're making 2 weeks worth

Butchering 10 lbs. of pork loin is not worth the money saved vs buying ground
