I'm struggling to wrap my head around why so many people in the comments of many news programs are literally saying this ICE violence against protesters is what they voted for and are still in support of this. I'm sick to my stomach at the lack of humanity these people have.

Never really got into clapper but I looked at it again just now and my feed was filled with conservative propaganda. Needless to say I uninstalled it.

Here’s what Trump does:

1. Creates a crisis that hurts a lot of people
2. Frames the crisis as a good thing
3. The crisis gets really bad
4. Trump then reverses his bad decision and takes credit for ending the crisis he created
5. MAGA eats it up

Every. Single. Time.

I think a big difference between what’s happening now and the Star Wars prequels is our version of the Sith outright let us know over and over again “We are evil people here to make things bad for most of you but better for us” beforehand and millions of people still voted for them.

Starting trade wars to make it easier to take over the government was literally the plot to the Star Wars prequels.

The price of eggs in the US is spiking, mostly due to #H5N1 bird flu. Solving the problem requires urgent, important communications from the CDC & FDA* and rapid development of research by the NIH**

* Currently paused by Executive Order

Egg prices are soaring again. Here’s why and what to expect
Bird flu has killed millions of hens in recent weeks, shrinking the supply of eggs and hiking up prices at grocery stores.

I can't see any other reason Trump would have rescinded Biden's executive order 13989 but to pave way for his own corruption. 13989 was literally about taking money out of politics. It was just a pledge that they wouldn't take lobbying money, cushy jobs after govt work, and no golden parachutes.

I'm really trying to keep my cool but with all the shit Trump has already pulled less than a day in, I'm so angry.

If you listen carefully when watching Star wars Attack of the Clones, you'll hear the Imperial March music to indicate that the Empire began long before it got its name. Today I'm hearing that theme louder than ever.

We are going to hear a lot over the next couple of years about how, despite controlling the White House, House, and Senate, Republicans just aren't able to get anything done because of Democrats

The conundrum of our politics is that we may need a populist message to win back the working class, but once you start down that path you could horseshoe into pet-eating hateful nonsense.

When Roe was overturned, Pete Buttigieg asked if we lived to see the high water mark of rights and freedoms in our country. As usual, he was right. We are now seeing companies roll back inclusionary policies. I fear how fast our country is degrading into this behavior. I thought we were past this.

I joined Twitter late, but well before Elon took over. I'm finding myself naturally using blue sky more than even pre elon twitter. Shows we have something good here!
