Two more tribal nations in Oklahoma have stepped up to accept funds and feed all children, Native or not, in their reservation borders, in addition to the Cherokee and Chickasaw Nations. The Osage and Choctaw Nations will now be participating as well.
A range of radical orgs developed free breakfast programs in the 1960s b/c they knew the state would let Black, brown, and poor white kids starve. The Black Panthers inspired the Young Lords and the Young Patriots. These governors are undoing the legacy of their work.
