Now seems like a swell time to point out that Frontline just released this excellent 11-minute mini-documentary about what happened inside CECOT.

There is a tremendous opportunity for a brand new generation of media outlets to rise up right now because many news outlets that spent decades painstakingly building their credibility are seeing it torched by bootlickers with incredible speed.

“Meanwhile, I’m haunted by the invisible impact of the insatiable greed that’s so widespread (and sadly, celebrated) in our multi-millionaire and billionaire class.”
It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.

We’ve had enough of this two-tiered justice system where the ultrarich never face consequences. Tell your GOP Members of Congress that constituents aren’t letting them off the hook — Republicans backed the Epstein Transparency Act and now they need to ensure the law is upheld.
The Epstein cover-up continues. Let's keep up the pressure on Republicans until ALL the files are released.
Trump, his GOP enablers, and the Pam Bondi-led DOJ still think that – if they stall long enough – voters will forget about Jeffrey Epstein's crimes and the role Donald Trump, and some Republican megad...

When billionaires take control of communication platforms, it’s not a win for free speech. It’s a win for oligarchy.

This is a danger to the free press.

Billionaires love it when we’re busy arguing with each other.

Meanwhile, they're rigging the system to hoard money and power while we fight over the scraps.

We’ve got more in common than they want us to think.

53% of Americans believe billionaires are a threat to American democracy.

Meanwhile, just 100 billionaire families spent $2.6 billion on federal elections last year — a 160-fold increase since Citizens United.

The people know: billionaires should not be able to buy our elections.

seems to me that those democrats inclined not to fight perceive themselves as living through a somewhat ordinary cycle of presidential overreach and backlash and not something much more significant and dangerous

The original Dem demands were:
1) Permanent ACA subsidies
2) Medicaid funding restored
3) No more blank checks for the regime (rescission)

They dropped Medicaid immediately. Went silent on rescission. Cut back to 1 year of subsidies on Friday. And surrendered today.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

This says it all.
Cuomo, the man who resigned in disgrace after a state attorney general’s report found that he had sexually harassed nearly a dozen women, was asked if he had any regrets.

He said he regretted not being better at social media.

26 billionaires spent over $22 million to beat Zohran Mamdani.

Why? Because regular people came together around an agenda that prioritized making life easier for more people. It beat big money.

That is how we win.
