I remember paying like £1.50 for a dozen eggs and now it's north of £3.00, still climbing and it's been less than 12 months so far, it'll keep rolling and expanding like a glacier, pressuring and breaking prices in other foods as it goes.
It's still amazing to me that most people aren't considering the primary impact of bird flu to be on food chains. It seems almost inevitable that it's going to cause mass famines.

I have to emphasise that the people doing conversion therapy in 1962 on gay people were also doing it already on trans people. Read "Curing Queers: Mental Nurses and Their Patients, 1935–74" for some info on the specifics of the British system but this was everywhere.
The trans panic is just a rehash of old homophobic ideas, Exhibit A.
