The LA fires exposed a major breakdown in government accountability. Even with protections in place, aid was slow, coordination stalled, & the response relied on prison labor & international crews—revealing the gap between law on paper versus reality. [1/7]

A new executive order stops short of martial law—but barely. It pushes military assets into local policing, guts reforms, shields officer misconduct, and targets DEI as criminal. This is how democracy erodes: not with a bang, but with a memo.

The U.S. is bringing back psychiatric incarceration under the guise of "care." It’s carceral, not compassionate. We need real community support, not forced confinement.
