How to make society resilient against disinformation? One way is total control of the media, 'Gleichschaltung' which in itself is antidemocratic. The other is education. A public educated enough to critically assess information and demand facts instead of opinions. Religion does not help:).
Good analysis in this Guardian article. My take on it: US 47. administration are seeing Europe/China as main adversaries. Russia to keep Europe busy, rewarded by 'land grants'. Sovereign nations dealt with like properties on the NY real estate market. www.theguardian.com/world/2025/m...

My opinion: The US government Yemen Signal leak is not an accident. This is not how this group of people talk. Its a new form of communication. The 47th administration are messaging the world. The president denies all knowledge. Remember project 2025?

U.S. national-security leaders included me in a group chat about upcoming military strikes in Yemen. I didn’t think it could be real. Then the bombs started falling.

Yes, and even more immoral: this statistic and pretty much any other healthcare statistic looks totally different for the CEOs & wealthy stockholders. They are even vaccinated !
Unique to America, our health care system is designed not to make people well, but to make CEOs & wealthy stockholders incredibly rich. The result: We have the highest infant mortality rate of any wealthy country on earth. How cruel, how immoral is that? We need Medicare for All.

... maybe El Salvador is interested in some high level felons ?
1) I guess it's time for extraordinary rendition: homeland edition.
2) Don't we have more than enough prisons in the US as it is? Why do we need to use another country's prisons, on top of that?

Minority opinions are legitimate, arguably even in support of a country invading another European country. But they cannot be allowed to paralyse the political system. The EU needs to let a 26:1 majority get on with what needs to be done to protect the EU. www.politico.eu/article/hung...

The legal tools to address this internal opposition exist — Europe just needs to use them, and meet the moment with courage.
