A bloke used to play piano in St John’s Tavern in Blackburn on Sunday nights and the 16/17 tipsy GI shirt with Roxy arm patch clad me asked if he knew it. I’ll never forget his look of disbelief that I seemed to know the entire lyric. Of course I didn’t properly - at that age I’d have no idea what
