A welcome 3 points for the #Rovers. New boys Morishita and Gudjohsson impressed and the returning Wharton was imperious at the back. Superb game management at the end.

Sad news today that Peter Paetzold who ran the Hamburg Beatles tours has passed aged 75. Peter was a marvellous guide & we discovered we had many musical loves besides the Fabs in common. He said as we parted ‘let’s keep in touch’ which we occasionally did.

Think Blue Eyed Boy only ever got a full page the week after the Worthington Cup Final in 2002. That was the day I met Lesley again after 20 years.

You’ll know ‘Dearg Doom’ too which I remember from celebrating the Genoa shoot out win v Romania with the Irish fans at Italia 90. A band I’ve beverage seen live but always followed despite meeting few people who shared my interest. Great back catalogue & I need to save up for the box sets!
