As a young professional living in NY I was invited to a lunch by a prominent business owner (eventually found to be wildly corrupt) with one, Chuck Schumer. My contact was a key donor at the time. I said no for many reasons, likely boredom being most prominent. Glad I made that call. I’m cleaner.
