Holiday Touchdown: A Patriots Love Story is actually a harrowing character study about how Tom Brady's obsession with football caused him to miss holidays, birthdays, and all of the other milestones that make up a marriage, ultimately costing him his relationship with Giselle.

It is nearly time for him to assume his final form (bedridden in the prison hospital)

I remember in 2016, Anne Coulter went on Fox and insisted that "only people with 4 grandparents born here should be allowed to vote, if that were true Trump would win by 30." Apparently not realizing that would mean Trump + all his kids and grandkids (to that point) would be ineligible.

The JFK assassination wouldn't be seen as anywhere near as dire a moment for "trust in the US gov't" if it hadn't been followed pretty much immediately by Vietnam, several more assassinations, and Watergate. Very likely that none of the conspiracy theories catch on w/out that waterfall of crises.

Also, as someone who does have European ancestors who were here before the Revolution, the last thing I need in my life is the goddamn Hillsdale College version of their history.

As a former clarinet player, it is certainly one of the more melancholic instruments, for sure.

After spending the last two years surrounded exclusively by dead fish like JD, Stephen Miller, Rubio, etc., being in the same room as someone with actual charisma must've been like chugging a boilermaker after 2 years sober. All of Trump's showbiz-addict buttons absolutely slammed at once.

Cheney finally kicking it repaired the breach in reality that was formed when the Cubs won the World Series in '16.

"Tell the Dean it was only business... can you get me off the hook? For old times' sake?"

"Larry, the 'business' was child sex trafficking."

This definitely feels like someone at Apple TV who doesn't like Silo/wants them to spend the money on something else seeded this story, knowing a friendly reporter/outlet wouldn't dig too much into the claims.

Well, his dad and two older brothers already cornered the Character Actor (Stellan), Hollywood Heartthrob (Alexander), and Genre TV Guy (Gustav) markets, what else is left for a young thespian but "Sexy Doug Jones?"

None of this is to say the South should be electorally written-off, or that Southern racists are worse than Northern racists, or any other straw-man. It's saying that pretending Southern whites don't vote the way they do does nobody any favors, least of all non-white people living in the South.
November 19, 2025 at 6:50 PM
And Southern whites have reliably gone 80-20 for the (real or perceived) "racially conservative" party since Reconstruction. And it's not rural vs. urban, either. Northern rural white districts go GOP ~60-40 or less, in Southern rural white districts the Democrats might as well not exist.
November 19, 2025 at 6:50 PM
The point people were making yesterday is the 100% correct, objectively verifiable point that Southern states go Republican largely because Southern whites go 80-20 (or worse) for the GOP, unlike Northern whites who go 60-40.
