I had thought most of my naive idealism had been stomped out of me by now, but it’s amazing to me that this level of public animosity could be directed by Democratic leadership toward a sweet and personable young candidate of their own party seemingly exclusively because of his background.

Am watching a show with the kiddo and a Scotch Brite commercial started and Outkast's So Fresh, So Clean was the music and then I crumbled into dust as the ancient millennial that I am. Kiddo nearly choked on his food because he was laughing so hard at my face.

Less than 2 weeks until publication. I’m still busy as hell working in concert with my community to respond to a federal invasion and regular attacks on our neighbors and their defenders. Any help getting the word out about this book, which I believe can help us all right now, is deeply appreciated.
My publisher’s been very patient. I’m not doing everything I said I’d do to promote this book (out in a few weeks) because I’m an organizer in a city under federal attack. My days are full and emotionally exhausting. Any help getting the word out means a lot. It's a book people need right now.
