Survivor, mother, dog lover. Alive thanks to the NHS (twice) and forever grateful. Moving further left as I age.
Top tip, do your bowel cancer screening test.
Today is a good day. I'm seeing progress at the gym; pulled an 80kg sled pull, and did 20 ring rows. Worked on my shoulder mobility, which has been so restricted following the fractures and by the end had my arm straight up in the air.

Reform UK MP Sarah Pochin, “It drives me mad seeing adverts full of black people, full of Asian people, full of anything other than white"

Followed by that time Sarah Pochin said, "My kids say: mum, you're such a moron" 👀

Lovely walk today, huge range of fungi. I had never heard of porcelain fungus before today.

I'm not religious. I don't believe in God. So to whom am I speaking when I say "please, please, don't let the CT scan show liver metastases".
Waiting for a date for this scan is draining me.
On the off-chance anyone reads this, can you bring a smile to my face?

Scared today that I may have metastatic cancer in my liver. The last 2 years have been so hard healthwise, and I've been in pain almost constantly. I wish I'd kept my rectal tumour and lived two fulfilled years with it.
More tests to come.

When you're grateful for the NHS but tired of needing its services. Awaiting my appointment with plastics to see how they'll deal with the recurrence of skin cancer on my nose. My research doesn't make me happy.

Ouch! 13 exercises in my physio protocol right now, and all but three of them cause me to curse out loud. The road back to shoulder mobility and strength is going to be a long, painful one, but it's one I have to take.

My relationship with the NHS continues I fell and broke my humerus head today. Ambulance crew and all the staff in A&E have been incredible. I lived 3 years in the US, with insurance but a high excess and was terrified of accessing care I couldn't afford.
Don't listen to or trust Farage

Poor boy has been found to have a heart murmur; echocardiogram scheduled for next week. He's asymptomatic right now, long may that continue.

Celebrating good news today. I had my 1 year follow up colonoscopy after my cancer surgery, and no cancer found. It makes the vile bowel prep worth drinking. Thankful as ever for the NHS.

2024 was a year of adjustment, pain and discomfort, of physical and mental struggles. A year where my family and friends worked as a team to support me through the hardest days. Hopefully Jan 25 will see me declared one year cancer free after colonoscopy. Then time for adventures with Harry in Sid.

Looking forward to Christmas without cancer this year. I'm just going to relax and enjoy a week with my visiting family. Thank you, NHS.
