However, we cannot overlook the grandeur of the linguistic philosophy of Sanskrit and Pāli, which played a significant role in shaping civilizations. When we express the Dharma in vernacular languages, we should strive to bring the same level of energy and dedication to the task.

The teachings of Buddhism can certainly be conveyed in any language, and it is ideal to use the vernacular language of the audience. This principle is established in the Pāli Vinaya under the term sakāya nirittiyā.

Speaking words that benefit others is important, but if one speaks in the name of the Buddha, it is essential to refer to the Tipitaka.

Clichés that appear to be the Buddha’s words at first glance are abundant in the world and on the internet. While it might seem acceptable as long as they benefit people, this approach blurs the line between what is truly the Buddha’s teaching and what is not.

The Buddha’s teachings are vast but not everything that aligns w/ worldly morality necessarily aligns w/ his words. Our predecessors accurately memorized, thoroughly examined, and deeply understood the teachings. To follow in their footsteps, we must consult the sūtras/suttas.
