National monuments may be on the chopping block.

Despite bipartisan support for protecting public lands, Interior Secretary Doug Burgum ordered agencies to produce action plans to carry out Trump's "energy first" agenda.

Buried in that order are instructions to review all national monuments.
The Trump Administration is Targeting National Monuments
Now is the time to let the administration know we won't stand for selling America's public lands to the highest bidding polluter.

“The thing to remember is that Northern Iron has been operating illegally for years now,” Lorentz said.

An important article out of St. Paul this morning:
‘I want to run away from here.’ Neighbors complain about pollution from St. Paul foundry.
Northern Iron and the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency are still engaged in a legal fight over pollution levels. Neighbors say dust and soot from the facility continues.

Despite the lakes' significance, Canadian oil giant Enbridge has been shuttling toxic fossil fuels through the Great Lakes since the 1950s.
