Unbelievable that Donald Trump has been invited to a state visit to the UK.

We should not be rolling out the red carpet to celebrate this man.

No second state visit for Trump
Unbelievable. Keir Starmer has handed Donald Trump a letter from King Charles, inviting him for a second state visit to the UK. It’s totally unprecedented, and should not go ahead.  This is the...

I've been considering what to do with my work Twitter account for some time. The general environment on that platform is hugely at significant odds with both my professional and personal beliefs.

So it's gone.

I realise that it's politics, but what a refreshing stance. "We're in the middle of a war but, hey, you guys need help and we're here to give it". Right after Junior Cheeto tries to make your country into the boogeyman.

Those grey misty days between Christmas and New Year. A time when you forget which day is which and the hardest choice is which leftovers to eat. There's no name for it in the UK, though someone described it as Betwixtmas. The Norwegians call it Romjul or Mellomjul apparently. I like that.

Terrifying, not least because the three laboratories that were able to test were all closed down by 2021 for reasons of expense. So either it was Tories cutting at public services or failed private enterprise. Both are unacceptable when the public are at risk.

It’s #StirUpSunday, the traditional day to make your Christmas cakes and puddings, and when my Ultimate Christmas Pudding is, from year to year, #RecipeOfTheDay. Traditionally, also, you’re meant to stir from east to west, but I can’t say I quite manage that! www.nigella.com/recipes/ulti...
