I shared this in November, but it also applies to May in the classroom. At this time of year, we can all benefit from a short memory.

Stay strong, teacher friends. #EduSky

Not trying to be a hero with my twisted knee, but I didn't realize ahead of time that it would be a march instead of a stationary demonstration. None the less I have no regrets, it was awesome to be out there with my husband supporting #publicschools!

Taking time for myself is a real struggle but it felt so good to get on the field again after a 3 year hiatus from the #highlandgames. It hurt so gooood. 😅 But seriously, I love and appreciate my body so much when I see how strong it can be!

The misty weather is calling to these kids. They just have to walk in the rain, and I completely get it.🥰 So nice to soak up the gift of water.🩵🌧

I might cry.💙😭 It's been a really hard week but I got my first teacher appreciation gift of the year. A student knocked on my door after school and said she had a surprise for me. A 🌈sticker and croc charms 🥰 #EduSky

It's that time of year again! I know it can be controversial to incubate eggs in classrooms but with responsible methods it can be so enriching to a life science curriculum. All ducklings will come back home to our farm to join our growing flock! #EduSky #iteachscience

I'm really enjoying our Springtime Chinampa project for our #ecosystem unit. S's learned about axolotls and Lake Xochimilco and were then given timber (craft sticks) and rope (yarn) and they built their own #chinampas. The cilantro is growing in nicely and we even added goldfish to a pond! #EduSky

RFK is not a doctor. He does not understand physiology, research methodology, or diagnostic criteria. He does not understand infectious disease and he sure as hell does not understand autism. Autistic people are not a problem to be eliminated. They are people.

Signed, an actual doctor

For the 1st time in over a decade of teaching in Southern California, we had an earthquake in the middle of the school day! A hearty 5.2 about 11 miles away from us. The best part about it was all the excitement and curiosity from every class period that followed, asking a million questions! #EduSky

Spring Break is bringing me a welcome reprieve. The semester is pushing into the final lap and everyone is burning out but it's been a good run. Flowers are blooming, students are researching their favorite biomes, and we're getting muddy in the garden. #iteachscience #EduSky

Here's why "leave it to the states" isn't a great idea when it comes to civil rights.
Before the federal role in public education was established in the 1970s, students with disabilities were routinely turned away from schools. The Trump/Musk Administration is jeopardizing these students’ access to a quality education.
What Was School Like for Students With Disabilities Before IDEA? | NEA
The landmark law ushered in an era of inclusion and equity. The current assault on public schools could unravel that progress, leaving students without the support they need.
