got all of it except the retrenching done before the rain came in 💪

but more rain actually makes that easier, so i’ll just bundle up later or tomorrow & knock it out. it’s only 50’ & most of it was dug in the spring, so it’s just re-establishing the trench after summer growth

after growing up in florida, i said i’d never complain about winter (which i actually *do* love) but today’s list of chores to get ready for it has me incredibly close to doing so 😂

today is the warmest day for at least a week and a half, according to @rsmiley.bsky.social, so much as i’d rather “absolutely not, it’s Thanksgiving Eve”, i’m coffee-ing up and getting on the ladder w/in the hour 😓

i’ve been so busy with school and work, so i knew it was going to hand to all be done today, but ugghhh lol.

i’m caffeinating up and have the work clothes in the dryer getting warm!

i feel like i’m speedrunning the worst video game ever, trying to beat both icy wind chills and the incoming barometric pressure drop in the next 24 hours

so the process itself became enjoyable!

i think that’s why i love cooking! i did a deep-dive into the science of it for a few years & now absolutely go more on my senses than i do by the recipe.
