I teach in a multidisciplinary makerspace. I try to support students in taking on projects for a range of purposes, audiences. This morning, I took a student documentary team to a local National History Day. This afternoon back at school, I submitted science fair paperwork for student projects.

Abbott Elementary is fabulous. One of the most unrealistic things, though? Alllll of the time teachers have to talk to one another, and all the time they’re outside of a classroom without students. Just not enough staff, not enough teacher prep time in too many US schools.

In NYC for the day to see a show. Waiting for it to start and editing/adding comments to a webinar agenda for Monday. This phone is both a blessing and a curse. It needed to get done. And maybe it’s best that I don’t have this task weighing on my mind. But the ability to have work at my fingertips…
