every person involved in this needs to be in prison
“One young man sobbed when a guard pushed him to the floor. He said, ‘I’m not a gang member. I’m gay. I’m a barber.’ I believed him. *** He “began to whimper,” as his head was roughly shaved, “folding his hands in prayer as his hair fell.” He “asked for his mother & cried as he was slapped again.”

FexEx did that thing to me where they just sneak past and put a sticker on your door without knocking. My sadness is immeasurable. 😢

we are getting a national version of red state governance, where the people in charge do everything they can to impoverish the state under the view that the more wretched things get, the easier it is for them to stay in power

this is the thing. are there clauses and provisions in the constitution that require other knowledge to understand? absolutely. but the constitution was first and foremost a *public document* meant for *ordinary people* to be able to read and understand
I always think, when I read about the tortured interpretations of the constitution, “I can read.”

Of course, WaPO would think what's transpiring now is unprecedented. There aren't any real journalists left on staff.
Stay tuned kids, b/c it's not the last predictable thing WaPO will call unprecedented... while enabling it to occur.

Propaganda works and if we want to win we have to get used to uncritically adopting slogans instead of standing around complaining they aren’t the slogans we want them to be using
I remember a NYT piece about Luzern County, PA, where a group of moms said they had no choice but to vote Trump for the third time because they didn’t want their sons to be drafted into Kamala Harris’ wars. This was reported uncritically.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Trump pledges in inaugural address to pursue policy that 'expands our territory' and to put US astronauts on Mars.

In 2009 Mitch McConnell had 41 colleagues and said "look how few of us there are, we need to block everything".

Primary Chuck Schumer.
It is time to look to the future.

The challenges that face America are many and great.

The Senate must respond with resolve, bipartisanship, and fidelity to the working and middle class of this country.

I feel like 90% of peeps who hate on JavaScript just hate it cause they don't really know it, and blame their struggles on the quirkiness of the language instead of their lack of ability.
