This. They act like the public's reaction is their own, but it's already being shaped by bad actors who have been doing it for longer. They need to be doing the same.

this is the thing. are there clauses and provisions in the constitution that require other knowledge to understand? absolutely. but the constitution was first and foremost a *public document* meant for *ordinary people* to be able to read and understand
I always think, when I read about the tortured interpretations of the constitution, “I can read.”

Of course, WaPO would think what's transpiring now is unprecedented. There aren't any real journalists left on staff.
Stay tuned kids, b/c it's not the last predictable thing WaPO will call unprecedented... while enabling it to occur.

It is very difficult not to. Libs of Tiktok didn't and couldn't have existed that long ago, but it's a ramp. Fox has existed since post-Nixon, and it's been a slow and steady climb priming people to a more and more isolating worldview.

The brain is the entire problem. We know how people think well enough to manipulate them through it, and there's an almost all encompassing media sphere dedicated to indoctrinating people through that knowledge.

By hating the victims of it we're falling for the exact same manipulation.

Saying it's people's own fault for falling for propaganda is wild. You basically have a multi-billion dollar psychological manipulation machine and expect the average joe to overcome it on their own?

They're still only human, and their human nature is being taken advantage of.

I imagine that clause would originally have to do with being in a place like a foreign embassy in the US. How can one otherwise be outside of jurisdiction while inside the country?
