The first time Charlie Chaplin used his voice in a film, he wielded it to forcefully condemn the rising forces of fascism around the globe.

Will we listen to his words today?

What law do you think MN's governor would be breaking? State sentences can only be pardoned by that state's governor. He would not be breaking any law by refusing to pardon a convicted killer who refuses to accept responsibility let alone show remorse.

Only a governor can pardon people for their state crimes. Chauvin was convicted of state charges for his crimes and was sentenced to 22.5 years to be served concurrent with the federal charges. FOTUS can only pardon the federal charges and Chauvin has to admit his guilt for any type of pardon. That

That's not how laws work. The president can only pardon federal convictions, the governor would have to pardon his state convictions, so he's definitely within his rights to keep him in jail.

Wealth is a comparative thing. You can't be rich without someone else being poor. You can't be extremely wealthy w/o denying wealth to others, causing suffering and pain through lack of good food, healthcare, housing, clean environment. You know you are doing this. You are a sadistic sociopath.

Pope Leo just drew a line.

No names—but the message was clear: dignity for migrants, not mass deportations. Trump and Vance push fear. Leo pushes back—with moral fire.

The Church isn’t staying silent this time.

I don't know if that article was old or intentionally misleading. Garcia appeared before an immigration judge in 2019 and was granted "withholding of removal" status. It's a rare turn of asylum allowed him to live and work legally in the US.

Harvard has set an example for other higher-ed institutions - rejecting an unlawful and ham-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom, while taking steps to make sure students can benefit from an environment of intellectual inquiry, rigorous debate and mutual respect. Let’s hope others follow suit.

Obama's administration deported more than 3 million people.

- Due process was not violated
- Did not evoke the alien and enemies act of 1798
- Did not criticize federal judges
- Did not fly people to third countries

Was criticized by liberal and progressive groups but Obama obeyed the law.
