This is probably Evie’s first Christmas tree—she was a two year old shelter cat when we got her New Year’s Eve 2024. I’m glad she has found this cozy spot on #caturday

Mario loves his toys more than any car I’ve ever seen. Happy #caturday!

I go around and take shots of plates around the thanksgiving tables before folks dig in. Was blessed with friends who made homemade lasagna (noodles and all), gnocchi, and a curried turkey! Guess which ones are children’s plates. 😂

The only dog that ever bit me had 3 acres of land with a fancy dog house on it for his eternal resting place.

Went to order meds I’ve been on for over 15 years and instead of 0, they are now $365. Of course, it’s another mystery of the machinations of insurance. 😡

Sharing pic of the thanksgiving boxes my daughter’s Girl Scout troop put together this weekend—a small amount of positivity in the bleakness.

I want people to displace the imaginary depictions of *revolutions* that they have come to create in their heads with the actual small revolutionary acts that happen daily. We might get closer to revolution that way.

A child could dismantle this absurd “argument.”
He’s comparing healthcare to home insurance.

Saying the “healthy” should be rewarded.

It’s eugenics.

Disability can happen to anyone.

You know how a hurricane can destroy your home no matter how many “safeguards” you had?

That’s chronic illness.

It’s the hurricane. $2k won’t cut it.

God I hope they are as careless and bad at this as everything else.
50/50 chance that they accidentally just make the text’s background black in Word without actually redacting anything

Steering my #ev is bringing back the muscle memory of those precisely calibrated hand micro movements needed to keep a video game race car exactly in the lane.

bet it feels good as fuck to be a fungus using enzymes to break down detritus in order to absorb the nutrients

I’ve been an #EV owner for a bit over a week and took a 900 mile round trip. My main question is why do people just sit in their cars for 20 minutes when charging? It’s a great chance to move around and stretch your legs.

Weekend trip to SC for a wedding, so of course we stopped for fireworks.

We did not get that huge box, but it was tempting.

Disability pride is hard won and she helped so many of us see why it’s worth it.
Alice Wong helped me accept my disabilities.

She taught me there’s no social justice without disability justice.

She encouraged me to start The Disabled Ginger and was a friend & mentor.

She won’t be forgotten.

Don’t let the bastards grind you down:

Thank You Alice Wong
Alice Wong has passed away and the disability community has lost a leader. I lost a mentor and a friend. The Disabled Ginger wouldn't exist without Alice and everything she taught me.

For Mario, the box would read, only the most handsome
devilish violent fiends sit here. Happy #caturday!
In a box tucked against the quiet, a cat claims its seat beneath bold letters: “only bitchy divas sit in here.” The leaves scatter, the river hums, and the diva reigns unbothered.

I am here and ready for anyone to explain to me how regular people have no representation from either party and the system must be dismantled.
Wal-Mart called and said they needed that $2B of SNAP money to help their holiday bottom line. Then the airline executives called and cried that they didn’t want to have the flight reduction. Then the lobbyists called and…you get the picture. It wasn’t about the people, never has been, never will be.

Maybe if Palestine won’t convince you the dems are not the answer, this will. Do you have to go totally broke trying to stay alive to demand better?

Dispatching from Appalachian Ohio: Fuck JD Vance
Shapiro: He rose to some prominence by writing a book about growing up in Appalachia, where there are a whole lot of people who get SNAP. He made millions of dollars off telling their stories, and then he turned his damn back on those very people he likes to write about and claim as his own.

As I have been saying “the data show…” just does not cut it anymore and hasn’t for a long time.
"In claiming the mantle of science, the data-centered approach to politics has drawn ever tighter boundaries around what it takes to speak knowledgeably about politics and so in turn who can be entrusted to direct it."
