So I was interviewed about my upcoming comic on Kickstarter by Mabuhay Canada. I really enjoyed this one, I talked about where my love of comics comes from and how the supernatural has touched the lives of my family for real! Please give it a read

Filipino writer Jeff Estrella wrote a comic book inspired by his dad's engkanto stories.
In hopes of breaking the curse, and to offer a token of love to his comic book-loving father, Estrella wrote "Balikbayan" using the stories he heard as a child growing up in Canada.

No studio will distribute this still because they're all cowards. An incredibly important and powerful piece of documentary filmmaking that everyone should see and be made aware of the nightmare being inflicted on this people.
The Oscar-winning documentary, No Other Land, is available to rent and screen at nootherland.com from now until May 9.

All of the proceeds will support the Masafer Yatta communities featured in the documentary.

An incredibly well-researched piece on the horrors of Neil Gaiman. It is extremely upsetting and explicit. Please be careful reading it.

Hmm... No mention of Glazer's speech on CBC and NBC last night or this morning on their "Oscar moments" segments and the The Academy still hasn't posted his speech despite it involving a high profile director/writer/ film in a major category.
I wonder why..?

Finally got to see this, what an absolutely incredible debut feature from A.V. Rockwell. Give this woman money to make more movies! A beautiful, painful and sometimes funny slice of the life of a family in a time that is long gone. It reminded me of so many kids I grew up with.
