Any time I feel like I can’t do anything right, I look at YTD performance for TGT stock, and I feel a little better. One can pinpoint to the day that they screwed the pooch.

I know that’s my problem with mainstream pop music. Like, I know Maroon 5 has a drummer, but their more recent albums sound mechanical and soulless.

I’m reasonably sure when Sartre wrote that Hell is other people, he was talking about going to the gym.

How much time does he have to pick one before he also gets impeached for something?

She did such a great job making an excuse for it, and she wasn’t even trying.

Long-term lead poisoning is a hell of a drug?

Oh, missed that. Had to squint.

Btw I’m at WinCo right now. It’s $2.28 a dozen.

You just know that if you asked the rep to spell HIPAA they’d use two Ps and one A.
November 7, 2025 at 9:01 PM
They’re trying to tell you their regular price on eggs is over $7 a dozen and all you have about that is a gut feeling? Aldi is six miles from my house and I still go there because I don’t like paying extra overall for them to pay marketing execs to come up with things like that.
November 7, 2025 at 5:48 PM
That’s not a good deal; that’s their usual bullshit marketing trick of wildly inflating the price and acting like the sale price is low. Both Aldi and Walmart are less expensive than Safeway’s alleged sale price, and I believe WinCo is too.

Link to said SDS: www.webstaurantstore.com/documents/sd...

It’s ten years old but current ones do the same thing. The Tide liquid one is a scream, the same SDS for dozens of varieties, effectively admitting Tide is Tide no matter the variety. images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/71%...

But IS there the same amount of cleaning powder per ounce? Stealth shrinkflation is plausible. SDS has a range for each ingredient and wiggle room from non-listed ingredients. They could change the recipe to have less active ingredient and the SDS would still be accurate.

He’s already teetering on the precipice of backsliding into the Uncanny Valley. That image is straight up Nightmare Fuel territory.

Damned Consumer Reports, they of “pods and liquid are way more popular so we didn’t bother testing the objectively superior product”.

If you can debase yourself enough to shop at Walmart, they’ve always had it when I’ve gone in. It’s down on the bottom shelf.
November 5, 2025 at 2:39 PM
Pardon me, I stand slightly corrected. The price I saw was for the subscription price. The one-off purchase price is $26 for forty loads, or 65¢ a load, almost *fourteen* times as expensive as the grocery store one.

I’m excited, but at more than twelve times the per-load cost of Cascade powder, it had better put away the dishes for me too.
