(Also "starry eyed" and "optimistic" is the most charitable reading, anyone who makes/runs/inherits something big is typically at their core just a cruel hearted tech dork who is in it for the payday and should be handled with extreme distrust)

These rapidly fall apart at any type of scale when the mods start selectively and in a decidedly centralized manner applying standards at whim when the computerized automation bits inevitably suck shit at anything but the most basic rule enforcement and need a swift kick from a human foot.
