Plenty studies showing that your postcode is a better predictor of your health outcomes than your genome.
The BBC & Telegraph are trailing Wes Streeting’s technophile health plans, including genomic mapping at birth.
Is this really gonna transform the NHS into a prevention service within 10 yrs, as Wes claims? For v rare genetic conditions, praps. But for the real burden of disease?

Thoughts, #medsky?

I've just seen some staggering data on how badly infections are affecting urgent care here *now*.

It's hard to comprehend.
It's hard to get your head round it.

You need to see it to believe it.

I have a mild form of this and it controls my life. I don’t understand why people are so willing to risk getting a horrible chronic disease like this, or any of the other chronic diseases or acute medical crises that Covid can cause. Please wear a mask in public.

Ventilation 💨

"You wouldn't build a public building without fire prevention. You wouldn't make people eat contaminated food, and yet this concept of clean, fresh, uncontaminated air has just bypassed everybody."

I finally deactivated my twitter account. While I rarely posted, the ability to aggregate my own Covid newsfeed of experts, invested lay people and other long covid patients has been invaluable to my own learning and sanity. I hope I can find that same community here.
