That's amazing. I really hope a Dream Phone that mentioned girls' sartorial choices in the 90s said stuff like "She looks cool in whatever she wears... she's not wearing STIRRUP PANTS." Was Mall Madness as cool as it looked?? I was not allowed to have.

Truly a goddess among mortals. My gal LOVES Jolene (both Dolly's and Beyonce's) so I'm sure 9 to 5 will inspire equivalent clapping and foot stomping.

A CT state senator has proposed adding cancer risk warnings to containers themselves. A state rep in AK has proposed adding language that alcohol increases risk of breast, colon and other cancers to signs that licensed retailers are require to display about alcohol's risk for pregnant women.

We get books from Dolly's Imagination Library, and some have notes from the queen herself printed in them, so I tell my daughter that our friend Dolly is saying hello and now she can (kind of) say "Dolly" and it's adorable. Might have to steal your 9 to 5 ritual!

The brewers I spoke with for the story supported consumers' choices to abstain from drinking in January and in general, which runs counter to some craft beer discourse that struggling craft brewers deserve consumers’ support.

From 2021-2023, January was the month with the least tabs for 30% of brewers using Arryved POS systems, more than double the next closest months (Feb. & Nov.), so closing during the month makes sense.

Main production hubs are the Harpoon breweries in Boston & Windsor VT. Small scale brewing will happen at other breweries. Smutty's Hampton NH brewery will take a temporary break from large-scale production.
